Name:
Location: New England, United States

I am a Hugo award-winning fantasy/SF artist who works on both publishing projects and film concept work(such as Jimmy Neutron and most recently, The Ant Bully) but I have a passion for landscape work, small paintings and exploring the properties of paint. This blog will mostly showcase my "painting-for-the-day" as kind of a personal voyage. I'll also be inserting sketches, photos and ideas of projects I am working on, that I can, when I can, so look for those every so often(usually as paint is drying!)

40 Years Ago Today....

Providence Journal Bulletin from July 21st 1969.

Earthrise (8x10, Oils SOLD!)

Vast Desolation(8x10, Oils, SOLD!)

Headed Home(8x10, Oils SOLD!)

Moon Hills(8x10, oils, SOLD!)

40 years ago I sat in my mom and dad's living room with a black and white TV set, and we watched the first landing of Man on the Moon. I can remember drawing pictures of it as I watched TV. Today that living room is now my painting studio and I watched FOR ALL MANKIND and painted some quick oil paintings(back to paintings for sale!) of what I was watching using freeze-framing to paint from the film. Alot of fun and it made me realize how much I missed paintings of the day, and, all the time gone by and the changes it brought when it seemed life was fully in front of me. If you want a painting, email me and I'll set it aside and I take paypal as usual!
