Bob's ART du Jour

Hi, I'm Bob Eggleton and this is my painting and "life in general blog" but mostly paintings. Usually they're for sale. Anyway, if you like something contact me at zillabob@cox.net and ENJOY!!

My Photo
Name:
Location: New England, United States

I am a Hugo award-winning fantasy/SF artist who works on both publishing projects and film concept work(such as Jimmy Neutron and most recently, The Ant Bully) but I have a passion for landscape work, small paintings and exploring the properties of paint. This blog will mostly showcase my "painting-for-the-day" as kind of a personal voyage. I'll also be inserting sketches, photos and ideas of projects I am working on, that I can, when I can, so look for those every so often(usually as paint is drying!)

Art Oddments: Some oldies and goodies and special prices!! These need homes, and you can help!

Art for a Damon Knight book, in 1992 or about, I had this one up before but this time it's $SOLD. Image is 19.5 x28 inches.

Art for a Mercede's LAckey book from 1998, it's 14 x21, acrylics on canvas and  it is $SOLD.

SHARKS!!! Did this a LOOOONNNG time ago and it was highly art directed, and very tight, they wanted four sharks coming at a diver. One of those old Byron Preiss interactive kid's books I cannot remember the title for. Anyway the image is 14 x23 and it's $450.

DRAGON LADY(12.5 x 23.5) Done for my portfolio back in the day, around 30 years ago. I've improved so much since. But this is still a fun piece, matted. $SOLD

FALLING,  17 x24, 1990 or so. DOne for an F&SF cover for a George Zebrowski story that takes place on Miranda, a moon of Uranus. It has a few nicks and scratches( that were fixed) thanks to poor storage.Anyway, it's $SOLD

FLYING MONKEYS(17 x25) A cover to a book by John BArnes I forgot the title of. Anyway, it's an expanded version of a story for Asimovs Magazine. Again, this image has some small blemishes here and there, from poor storage and a background airbrush, nothing that a framing job won't distract from. $600.

Tranquility Alternative(1995)(12 x35 inche) Highly art directed from a comp for a wrap around image for an Allen Steele book. $500.

 Fiery Planets(13.5 x 22) Done for a Charles Sheffield book around 1998. $SOLD

Battlestation!(1992). Acrylics  15 x24)HIGHLY art directed from a marker comp, so as type would go top and bottom, before the days of digital art. Anyway, loaded with color, $475.
