I am a Hugo award-winning fantasy/SF artist who works on both publishing projects and film concept work(such as Jimmy Neutron and most recently, The Ant Bully) but I have a passion for landscape work, small paintings and exploring the properties of paint. This blog will mostly showcase my "painting-for-the-day" as kind of a personal voyage. I'll also be inserting sketches,photos and ideas of projects I am working on, that I can, when I can, so look for those every so often(usually as paint is drying!)

Battles and Walled Cities...

A couple of quick pieces I did to sort of add to several being used in an upcoming CD. I did them as paintings for the day, going for a Turneresque look to them. Lots of fun to paint like this, especially after doing something that was kind of on the "tight" side prior. Loosens up the hand and that's a good thing for any artist.

IT CAME FROM...um... WENT TO JAPAN....

So this is my OTHER Kaiju painting that went to Japan for exhibition in KAIJU COMRADES 2.

These are immensely fun to do and this one has inspired a much larger painting I am going to do for myself soon!
