A Dragon in the making!!!
I drew the above dragon a few years ago. It sold too, pretty quick but, I knew where it would be going, to something more elaborate. The above image was also stolen by someone on Deviant Art and, they claim it's their work. It isn't, it's MINE. The hardest part of such a nice dragon head is involving it in a narrative scene.....
Anyway, I dug out the drawing and wanted to make a further extension of it into a painting, so with the help of a photo copy machine, and tracing paper...I did just that, making a scene of it, and calling it for now "WINGCLAW: ALL IN A DAY'S WORK" with a castle in the background that's been hit hard and the rather pleased dragon. I colored in the scene with Copic MArkers which can be like painting. I photocopied the drawing(which was two or three drawings piled onto one!) and did this on card stock. It's an easy way to get a color-test in effect. I liked the result. I will also add to this, smaller baby dragons flying around the lower part of the wings and perhaps up diagonally. The whole painting eventually will be 15 x30 inches. More soon!!!

Does not surprise me about getting ripped off on Deviant Art , pretty silly to think someone thought they could put your stuff out there as his/her own when you have such identifiable technique and design of your dragons.
Cool to see you painting and how it has remained timeless after all these years.

Hi,
The same person who posted your dragon in Deviant Art also posted one of my paintings as their own. And your Dragon drawing is incidentally still in their gallery, marked done by them. I already let the Deviant Art staff know about your work (and a few others she had obviously ripped from other artists) when I flagged mine, but unlike mine, they haven't taken yours down yet. So if you want to flag it yourself you can find it here: http://sureloc.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d5ey7qk.
Honestly this person just pisses me off to no extent after stealing my work so I'm hoping to find all the people she's ripped off to force her to stop doing it again:)
Thanks, Sari
